Program description
The VSHS short-term program includes a variety of educational events including workshops and seminars that support continuing education in fields such as medicine, nursing and allied health. This program includes non-clinical and clinical topics.
These educational workshops and seminars can be adjusted based on the needs of the organizations that request them and can vary in duration from two hours to three days.
Target group/participants
Like the PGD program, this program is designed for all professionals working in health care including (but not limited to) physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses. It’s also designed for allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, recreational therapists, optometrists, respiratory therapists, perfusionists and pharmacists, as well as public health, environmental health and occupational health professionals.
Career/occupation path
Our short-term educational activities will benefit participants in a wide range of fields including health research (qualitative and quantitative), evaluation and quality improvement, as well as clinical skills related to the topic. This will help health care professionals keep up with the latest advances in their area of study. These educational events can provide in-service education and learning opportunities for people who are already working in their chosen field. For people who have not yet started their career, these events can boost their professional profile and give them a clear advantage when applying for positions in their field.
