Admission requirements*
Eligibility criteria for the Post-Graduate Diploma program are as follows:
Educational background
In order to be eligible for the PGD program, applicants must hold the academic equivalent of a four-year bachelor’s degree with a GPA of no less than 2.2. If an applicant is still completing their bachelor’s degree, their third year or fourth year GPA will be used for reference.
English language proficiency requirement
Unconditional admission
If your last educational degree/program was not in the English language, you will need one of the following to be eligible for full admission to the PGD program:
IELTS (International English Language Testing System – Academic): Overall band score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in reading and writing skills
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language):
For the paper-based test: 55 each for reading, listening and writing, with 4.0 on the Test of Written English (TWE)
For the online test: 90 overall score, with 22 reading, 21 writing, 22 listening and 21 speaking
CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program): CELPIT-A (Academic Reading and Writing): 4L; CELL (Listening): 4L; CELTOP (Speaking): 4L
Conditional admission
If you do not meet the English language proficiency requirement for the PGD program, you will still be able to apply for conditional admission. VSHS extends a conditional offer of admission to applicants who do not meet the minimum language requirements.
After receiving a conditional offer of admission for the program, you will be given a VSHS student number in order to take an intensive English language proficiency program via the Global Village Language Center. Once you have successfully completed the English language program in Global Village, you will be granted unconditional (full) admission, allowing you to start your specialty courses at VSHS. You will need 3–6 months to complete the English program, depending on your current level of English competency.
Letter of Intent (LOI)
In order to register for the PGD program, you will need to submit a strong letter of intent indicating your organizational and personal interest in completing this program.

Your resume/Curriculum Vitae should include following sections:
Personal information
Education including graduate (if any) and undergraduate
Research experience (if any)
Employment experience
Publications (if any)
Awards and honours (if any)
Reference letters
You must provide reference letters from two university professors/instructors/managers who are able to comment on your suitability for the program
